repair a car (I've learned to fix anything that goes wrong and do the job myself!) is a huge help. I've already bought several sets of Tekton sockets and a small ratchet - checked the reviews on these and took a chance! I've used it a few times to get to the alternator and swap it out on our car - the swivel head made it easier/less awkward to access several areas that would be a HUGE effort/almost impossible to reach with a traditional ratchet. I'm glad we bought it and it's been added to our tool collection! Update: I've used this a few times and found the ratchet to feel a little tight - it was great for getting in at awkward angles and I managed to break a bolt once, found the bolt only worked every now and then was twisted to loosen it, and actually didn't click through the teeth. which resulted in me removing the bushing, reaching out and manually loosening most of the bolts, which got awkward, but luckily I was able to loosen the bolts at all, which I couldn't easily do with a regular ratchet. pulled a wrench from our tool box to help my brother work on his van and noticed the head of the tool was slightly rusty so I emailed tecton late Sunday evening (around 1am) on December 6th Mail when I Monday morning 12/7 I got an email reply from customer service - they were told this particular ratchet was stuck - however they will get a new item in the mail for me which should be in the same situation should help - no questions asked. walked past our new house we bought this week where we work (and our new mailing address) and this morning 9/12 had a new short ratchet (5 inch) waiting on our doorstep. less than 3 clear days from the first contact with customer service. I can say that I was a bit shocked these days. I started buying Tekton tools last year after reading all the positive customer service reports from buyers who seem to stand behind their tools, although the quality isn't always better. I am pleased to see that when an issue has arisen and gone beyond that, they have lived up to those expectations. If I could add an extra half star for customer service I would.
