The best ratchet of the best wrenches

I have 40 years of experience as a heavy-duty mechanic. This little ratchet is a real gem. Works from almost any angle. Ratchet in those tight spots. The socket release button on the top makes socket removal/replacement easy. I have a snap on version of this ratchet but I like it more because of the release button. The swivel function of this ratchet is very easy to control and use. Buy one, I recommend it, you will love it.

  • boring packaging

Best all round ratchet

Like any DIY enthusiast I had all the original master kits, swivel adapters, extensions and all that. Becoming a professional mechanic I was promoted to tool making and years later as a home mechanic and homeowner I regret not having them in my box all the time. Bang for the buck they are awesome. They are very versatile, the quick-release mechanism and the fine-toothed gearing are a real luxury. They are much stronger than I expected. Not to say you can skip the bar from time to time, but for…

No trick: Socket wrench

If I could I would rate it a 4.5. I bought a 3 piece set as I use all 3 sizes all the time. The rotation feature is incredibly useful! I became a fan of TEKTON. Once you try them, you won't even touch your regular ratchets. Pros: - Swivel heads allow you to reach hard-to-reach places - You can twist straight up to make the ratchet act like a screwdriver! - Feels solid even when spinning - Grip is good Cons: - My 3/8 drive stopped spinning freely like it was broken (while spinning something with

Very useful ratchet

I'm an industrial mechanic and have been using these swiveling ratchets for about half a year now. I can't tell you how useful the swivel head is. You won't be able to fully appreciate it until you experience it for yourself. There are so many situations where the handle of a regular ratchet just gets in the way. The thing just works! Before purchasing this I thought that strength and durability would be compromised due to the design. I took this test and it definitely passed. Other turret…

Good ratchet, works well and is durable. The guarantee is honored.

I bought one of these a few years ago and have used it quite a bit. I also have a similar snap-on ratchet that I enjoy using. Designed for home use, this Tekton is also very comfortable to use. Almost as good and probably more abused as a snap-on at work (often used when restoring an old truck). Price wise it is excellent value for money. After a lot of abuse, my Tekton ratchet broke. It got bad to slide. However, I feel that I have benefited greatly from it and have not hesitated to order…

Great tool - very useful!

repair a car (I've learned to fix anything that goes wrong and do the job myself!) is a huge help. I've already bought several sets of Tekton sockets and a small ratchet - checked the reviews on these and took a chance! I've used it a few times to get to the alternator and swap it out on our car - the swivel head made it easier/less awkward to access several areas that would be a HUGE effort/almost impossible to reach with a traditional ratchet. I'm glad we bought it and it's been added to our…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Lots of things needed to

I am very impressed with this Tekton 3/8 ratchet. The chrome is smooth with no scratches, the latch is snug with no excess play, and the switch to change the latch direction is solid. I expect this to serve you well. I'm an amateur mechanic with my own cars, so I don't work like I'm trying to make money at work. If nuts or bolts need to be removed, I first loosen the fasteners with a pry bar and then use a ratchet to remove the nut or bolt. During assembly I secured it with a ratchet and then…

  • 72 tooth gear offers only 5 degree working angle

Impressed! Allen wrench

A friend I worked with many years ago had a ratchet of this design, I believe it was an SK brand tool. I've always wanted one (jealous of the tool?) but most of my tools came from Craftsman and Snap-On and I've never seen any of their catalogs. I saw them and bought the 3/8" and 1/4" versions and was pleasantly surprised. I've used the 3/8" many times and it's intentionally very stiff and it's very versatile and durable, didn't miss a beat. The design is amazing and I don't know why some major…

  • Molded comfort handle with soft, non-slip grip

Fantastic ratchet. Best in Power & Hand Tools

I like to think I can tell the quality of items before I buy them. I also watch video reviews of many tools and when I received the ratchet I wasn't too surprised at how good it felt in my hand. The ratchet function has a very precise quality feel with no backlash. These are popular brands because of the name, but if you're not so unsure and just want to buy the best 3/8 ratchet money can buy, here it is. I packed it with about $400 worth of Milwaukee power tools. If you break one of them, it's
