Review on TomTom START 50M: Your Ultimate 5-Inch GPS Navigator with Lifetime Maps by Jeff Rhodes

For the most part, the 50M was easy to set up. The adhesive pad that the suction cup attaches to was meant to attach to my windshield, although it was said it could attach to the dash as well. Also, my 50M was set up for UK service upon arrival, even after I selected the US as my region. He kept trying to get me to pay for US map updates. I had to contact support to resolve this issue. Directions are great when I'm traveling somewhere without phone service. The only thing I don't like is that the voice navigation doesn't show street names. So it is difficult to predict which street to turn into. It also doesn't anticipate traffic jams and doesn't suggest you the best routes when traffic jams are imminent. If I had to buy another navigation system, I would probably buy it with traffic information so I don't have to rely on Google Maps as much.
