Mostly Useless - Power Tools and Hand Tools

What could have been a useful tool just wasn't well thought out and ended up being practically useless. I wanted this to install 38N Blum hinges but there are a couple of issues.1. The picture shown is upside down, it's going the other way, and it's the edge of the screws holding the edge of the door, not the big nice piece of plastic.2. Even with the screws tight, there is too much play, which means the hole is too far away. All of my doors have been drilled so the hole is closer to the edge so it can't be adjusted to fit them. 3. The small holes in the picture are not mounting screw holes, you need to drill them yourself. They've helpfully included small guide points for half a dozen hinges, none of which match the industry standard European Blum 38N hinges, leaving you with a bunch of useless ridges offsetting the guide point from the center. Where you drill the mounting holes, they are much thinner underneath so they don't reach the door. So if you use a Vix drill, it can still tilt and create an offset hole. I really need a built in lock.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Not bad
