This is my second stick vacuum so I definitely have something to compare it to. I'm 5ft 8" and the handle is shorter than my current vacuum. If you are under 5 years old, this grip length will most likely suit you. The taller you are, the less you like the length. In this area I give 2 stars. In fact, I checked the box twice to see if there was an extension tube, but unfortunately there isn't. The suction power is as good as my current vacuum cleaner. Sand and carpet dust were collected with no problems. I give five stars in this area. The collection tray is comparable to my other vacuum cleaner and is easy to remove and clean. However, the filter is designed to be drained and flushed. The instructions state that to open, you must twist the top of the filter counter-clockwise. Still NOT open and flexible, so the harder you squeeze, the more the filter housing shrinks. 1.5 stars in this area because if the filter cannot be cleaned properly, it will clog and end up burning out the vacuum cleaner motor. My current vacuum comes with a wall charger that contains the machine and tools. This one does not have this accessory. You lean it against the wall and plug it in while it charges. This definitely gets 1 star. You will receive 3 accessories. Suction nozzle, crevice nozzle and upholstery nozzle. The vacuum head is fine. It does the job. I think it has velcro that attaches to the hair. However, there is only one of these strips and I'm not sure where to get more. This strip reminds me of the tape that holds Swiffer pads in place. Strange if you ask me, but I suspect this was used so the manufacturer could reduce the cost required to put the brush on the head. I would prefer a brush. The crevice nozzle is made of highly flexible rubber/silicone. I understand why, so it can fit in those hard-to-reach places. It doesn't make sense because it flexes and doesn't really lift anything. You know how I feel here - 1 star. Overall, this vacuum cleaner is fine and serves its purpose. For the price you get a head that actually rotates and has a brush head. Also, this vacuum cleaner has two speeds, low and high. Excellent. On the other hand, for the same price you get a vacuum cleaner with more speed.
