I bought these ice buckets to use in my fridge on wheels which doesn't support normal full size ice buckets. In general I like them. The cubes are very big, but not too big. As others have pointed out, leaving the cubes on the counter for a few minutes to thaw them out makes it easier to remove. The upper is very flexible, which is one of the characteristics of silicone, and that makes putting it on quite a challenge. The biggest problem is filling the bowls. Most ice cube trays have high outer edges and passageways between the cube dividers to allow water to flow freely between each cube compartment. This makes it easier to fill the bowls without getting dirty. This tray isn't very difficult to fill without making a mess, especially when trying to put the lid on. I have found that using a water bottle works best for filling bowls as each individual cell can be filled to the correct height. I would probably buy another ice cream bowl if I had to make it again.
