The mailbox is very easy to set up and ready to use. It looks great and is much cheaper than other mailboxes of comparable size and height. A nice touch is the "mail" that adds strength as well as a touch of "class" to the mailbox. The lid closes securely and if I had only one complaint it would be that you actually have to press firmly to close it and pull with some force to open it. Of course, the mail is protected from all weathers because it is safely stored in the mailbox. Our postman easily sees the red flag when we need to pick up mail. Of course, this saves us having to go to the post office just to send a letter. A word of caution. Although this mailbox is approved by the Postmaster General, you will need to contact your local post office to ensure that the location you wish to place the mailbox is approved by them for courier delivery. You can't just hang it where you think it "looks nice" in your home. It should be a "so-and-so-foot" from the sidewalk or house and "so-and-so-foot" where the courier must pass to deliver your mail. If you don't install it properly, it will look great, but you won't get any email about it at all. Swiss Post pays great attention to how and where mailboxes are placed.
