I bought it as an additional monitor for my Surface Pro 6. My Surface Pro has a Mini Display Port and there is currently no direct solution on the market to convert Mini Display Port to USB C or Mini Display Port to Mini HDMI. So I used it with a mini displayport to hdmi adapter and then an hdmi to mini hdmi cable. The first week it worked fine. In the second week it started to flicker and in the third week it went out completely. I checked with other laptops as well and it either flickered or didn't respond at all. After numerous and lengthy discussions with Lepow Customer Service via email, I purchased another Mini Displayport to HDMI Adapter and HDMI to Mini HDMI Cable (the cost of the cable was covered by Lepow). However, the problem remained the same i.e. black screen. On this basis, I received a refund without sending the monitor in (it was an international shipment, so they charged a significant amount for shipping). I'm still not sure if the monitor is defective or if it doesn't support this type of conversion. My final thoughts on this are that you can try if: 1. There is a direct solution to plug in your PC/Laptop.2. If the shipping cost is low, which is the case if you live in the US. Lepow's customer service is fantastic! And they offer full support for all monitor issues (even covering the cost if there are problems with the cable solutions that come with the monitor). However, this review is for people who are in a similar situation to mine. In this case, contact Lepow first to ENSURE your system is compatible with the monitor.
