Review on πŸ”§ Enhanced OTC 4554 1/2" Drive Torque Angle Gauge by Francis Vasquez

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It's about to break!

Anyone purchasing this unit is likely dealing with torque limiting fasteners and is extremely concerned about accuracy. Having bought it for my LS (5.3) restoration, I have to say that this is pretty much the most ridiculous "tool" I've ever used. The concept is solid, but we initially found that it required two people to get the job done. one to hold it still and the other to actually turn the key (but only after preloading to ensure semi-accurate readings). We quickly learned that the person holding the device is also responsible for ensuring it doesn't fall apart mid-torque (which would be a tragedy in terms of accuracy). The locking ring popped out of ours a few times and we had to regroup and put the damn thing back together. If you are still ordering this after reading the reviews. Just order a pair of circlip pliers. Better yet, just order a cheap angle sensor. This is what I used to complete my project and it actually worked better. 1632149420&cp=8-23
