I was so happy to discover this great tool! It fits in a kitchen drawer and can certainly replace a full-size colander if you're just using it to drain pasta, potatoes, or whatever. It attaches to almost any size pot (very small pots will not fit) and is quick and easy to move from the dishwasher to the drawer and pot. A word of caution - be careful when pouring hot liquid! I always water alone and a lot of steam too. But there is always a word of caution no matter which tool you use. I also turn on the device before the pot gets too hot...
