I have bought several remote control collars to try and find the 'strongest' for large, unruly dogs. My dogs (80 lb and 60 lb pit mixes) are used to the unruly dog collar for our PetSafe inground electric fence (which runs on a 9 volt battery). This collar isn't as strong as their hedge collar, but seems to help. They were shocked several times on the highest settings and didn't squeak, but they stood and listened to me as I accompanied it with a loud beep. I love that the remote is color coded for reliable correction and each button has its own function. I decided to buy two separate systems so each dog would have their own remote control instead of having to switch a remote control between two collars. That way I can fix them at the same time if needed. I just bought an extra collar in a different color and matched the tape on each remote to the collar color. Still not as strong as I would like, but the best option for my dogs so far. Hold the charge for a while and can't beat the price. (Yes, I've also tried Sport Dog's persistent shock collars and they felt ticklish.)
