I did a lot of research and decided I wanted 4K with a wide color gamut. Other monitors claim HDR – high dynamic range = wide color gamut; However, most of them aren't bright enough to meet that standard, and most of them don't have a large extended color space other than Srgb, which is your standard monitor. A brightness of 1000 c/m2 (candelas per square meter) is standard. Most monitors produce 350c/m2. This monitor is one of the few that produces a peak of 600 c/m2 - it's not up to the standard of 1000 c/m2, but it's very, very good. Another plus is the color gamut - this monitor delivers 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut - very, very good. 5ms response time = very good. I'm mesmerized to see this monitor - pin-sharp 4K resolution and stunning HDR colors. 2 - 5 watt speakers - produce fairly good sound quality (better than most). My only negative comment is that I have a slight drop in brightness on the left and right edges of the screen. If it was bad I would have sent it back but to be honest it's barely noticeable to normal viewing. I wasn't sure if I needed widescreen, but it's good for casual work and great for movies.
