I knew this was a pet gate before I bought it. However, I needed a gate that would keep our son out of danger areas while still allowing our cat through. seconds at the door. Pros: - Good design. - Good locking. - Versatility. Cons: - The gate opening is narrow. I'm 6ft 2in, 165lbs (skinny) and I still wish the gate door was an inch or two wider. Also, when closing the gate, you MUST use the blocking function (by pressing the lever under the red tab). Our son is only 10 months old and can open the latch if it is not locked.
