Works great. I got it specifically to separate the cat food from our pup. The opening for the pet gate is too large for easy access, so I took the advice of other reviewers and cut a latch from the gate. You don't need any power tools for this, I used a mini hacksaw and it only took a minute. I then placed the open ends and sealed them with white tape. Also, I highly recommend using a pair of "Pressure Gate Safety Screens" to minimize damage to your wall - see pictures.

Looks great but the way it was assembled the screws didn't match and the door wouldn't close. My husband had to drill new holes to make it work properly. I would have just sent it back but we needed something to attach as we have a dog and a cat. I would not recommend buying this product. Super disappointed.
