They are stronger than regular white paper plates in terms of durability, they have an edge and shallow depth so something with sauce doesn't easily roll off the edge. I cut a sandwich on it and it didn't cut through. Plate. I've also used them for pizza and the fat didn't ooze out. The grapes, wet from washing, did not soften the plate like ordinary paper plates do. If they have something very heavy on them, they can bend. They're uncoated and not as durable as coated plates, but they get the job done and are an upgrade to regular white paper plates. Overall, this is a decent paper plate that is biodegradable.
