Review on 🔧 Klein Tools D2000-28 8-Inch Heavy-Duty Diagonal Cutting Pliers with Angled Head: Ideal for Cutting ACSR, Screws, Nails, and Hardened Wire by Eric Pruett

I have used a pair of Gardner Bender diagonal cutters for many years. I recently managed to lose my old vinyl cutters so I started looking for a replacement. After some research I settled on this pair of Klein side cutters. I've heard over the years that Klein has a good reputation so I decided to take a chance. They are great for cutting wire. But they have trouble desoldering the braid, which isn't as thick and stiff as regular wire. For this reason I am giving this product four stars instead of five. I used the old GB pliers to cut through the desoldering braid with no problem, so to be honest I was surprised that the Klein pliers didn't. My old GB pliers could even cut small diameter nails. I don't know if I would cut small nails with small cutters. It seems American made instruments aren't as good as they used to be. It's a shame. Oh, a few weeks after ordering Klein cutters, I found my old GB cutters. I will keep the Klein as a backup but will use the GB until it wears out completely.
