Excellent roof rack for transporting kayaks with pickup. I have a 2011 F-150 Lariat Super Crew with a short bed. My wife and I bought two 14 foot Wilderness Pungo 140 kayaks and we had to find a way to transport them. I was seriously considering buying a $700 Thule bed frame set or a $400 Trac rack. Most kayakers and kayakers I spoke to said these bed extenders are the best way to transport your watersports gear. After just one application, I was convinced I made the right decision and saved a lot of money in the process. This shelf is sturdy, easy to set up and easy to store. I can attach the carrier to the hitch, load the kayaks and be on the road in about 10 minutes. It can be used on any vehicle with a 1" or 2" hitch. An adapter for a 1" hitch is included. It can also be adjusted vertically. You can store your water sports equipment on the roof of your car and in the trunk. not included I also bought ratchet straps and a red bungee flag from Revain.
