These bits are ideal for lathe enthusiasts. They are cut in a parabolic helix and deliver a clean hole in one quick pass, which is great for acrylic blanks. Due to the nature of the cut, they are very expensive to buy individually. This $80.00 5 bit set should contain 7mm bits, the letter "o", 25/64", 10mm and 27/64" bits. I wanted the 25/64" and 27/64" first, which cost about $50.00 and are purchased separately, so I figured the set was a reasonable deal at least. I ordered them in May and didn't use them until August, so they are non-refundable. Once I started using them, I noticed that they sent 3/8 instead of 25/64 (which I needed right away) and an extra 7mm instead of the "o". I called Revain and they let me return them for a replacement even though 90 days had passed. Just received a replacement order that was 7mm, 8.03mm (an "o") and again 3/8" instead of 25/64" (which I still needed right away). Fisch makes 25/64 inch bits, so this doesn't seem like a "close enough" case. The extrusion tolerance of the grip adhesive is critical. I checked both sets with a micrometer to make sure they were mislabeled. They were labeled correctly, so it's obvious that the grading system doesn't match the caliber or someone can't read. A 25/64" bit costs me $20.81. So what should cost $80.00 ($86.60) would cost $100.81 ($109.13 with tax) if I bought a 25/64 -inch bit they couldn't supply in this set maybe that's their strategy horrible quality control in sorting and packing.
