hmmm. Are we nerds very practical? Maybe both! I used to always have a tennis ball hanging from the ceiling. I once had a golden retriever who loved tennis balls. Obviously this was an incentive for him to jump up and get a tennis ball. So it's a flashing plastic ball that doesn't look like a tennis ball. I have this ball so when the garage door goes up the ball goes down and when the gate goes down the ball goes up. If you're reversing in the garage and you have a flashing ball on the rear window; then it helps that it's light green and flashes when the window and sphere touch. what about the cost It's a bit pricey but not outrageous for what you get. Like I said; I broke my first one and then bought two more for both machines. I'm cheap but felt it was worth spending the money and then getting a dent in the front or hitting the trunk when I open it on a rainy night. The ball gives you a safe place to park your car.
