Review on πŸ”¬ Enhanced Norpro Stainless Steel Baster: With Injector and Cleaning Brush for Superior Performance and Easy Maintenance by Sandy Reed

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good suction, can get hot, easy clean up

I bought this gasket instead of a regular plastic gasket just because it was the only one from Revain that arrived on time when I needed it. I was in quarantine and couldn't get into the store so I bought it from Revain. This buster does his job well. The suction was really good, better than the plastic washcloths I've used before. I used this to remove lard from a goose which can be messy. As long as I didn't tip it to one side, I didn't have to worry about a few drips when decanting into the container. If I tilted the syringe the liquid would spill out, but all syringes do. Cleaning was easy, just remove the bulb and hose down. Although I just threw mine in the dishwasher, the lightbulb on the stick on the top shelf and the piece of metal on the stick on the bottom shelf. I didn't need a brush this time, but it will help clean anything that's stuck. Because the tube is metal, it can get very hot depending on what you do with it. Be careful, only touch the bulb and don't do what I did where I repeatedly grabbed it in the middle when lifting it up, although I've done the same thing before with painful results. The only thing I want to change about it is the cap for the marinade injector. I attached it to the Buster for storage, but I would prefer to store it separately as the entire assembly is too long to fit in my utensil drawer. Without a cap, fingers can be stabbed when rummaging through the dish drawer.
