I have a road bike and do long tours. It's hard at first to see movement in the mirror coming from behind until it's pretty close, but for me it gets better with use over a couple of rides. Visibility is better when falling in drops since the eyes are closer to the mirrors. Worst of all, the mirrors can easily be knocked out of the pivot then fall off the bike and get lost. This easily happens when the mirrors touch the object the bike is leaning against. I've already lost a mirror. The solution is to tie a string (short ribbon) around the stem of the bullet and attach the other end to the stem where the mirror connector is inserted into the end of the stem. If the mirror inevitably falls, at least you won't lose it by taking this precaution. The mirrors are held securely by the ball joint so that they remain adjusted even when driving on uneven roads. The bad news is that I credit the company for an inadequate seam design that causes the mirror to fall off. I will buy another pair of these mirrors. On this set I will attach the mirror with a short string. This way, if the mirror ball is knocked out of the socket, it stays connected to the bike, making it easier to put the ball back in the socket. The price is too high for what they are. Look closely at the designs. These mirrors work best on road bikes where the rider is in the camber. Mountain bikes and heavy bikes in big boxes for everyday use can benefit from large mirrors.
