I strung several of these together around an un finished basement and put a bunch more in the garage. The mounting tabs aren't amazing, but they do the job. The light output is great. And because they are plastic tubes filled with LEDs breakage is not an issue. For this reason I have kept one loose. I slide it under the car when I am working underneath, or prop it up near a specific area I am working for better local lighting. You can use it basically as a big drop light! However after about a year now, some of the switches seem to be failing, even though the lights are permanently mounted and never switched on and off, causing the lights to flicker or just turn stop working all together until I get the switch set just right. It's not a big deal for me, as I will just remove the switches, but this could be important for someome who will use the switches regularly for turning the light(s) on and off.
