Impressed with electric fuel pumps so far

Installed on a 2002 Duramax. It took about 14 hours total, most of the time was spent removing the stock fuel hose and inserting barbed fittings into the new fuel hose. Tip: warm. Moving the return heatsink helped a little when removing it. At the moment this seems to have solved some problems I had: refilling too often, a small spike, loss of power and a delay between 2-3 shifts, especially with fuel. pressure has increased. I haven't found any leaks in the fuel system so I'm assuming the CP3 is worn out. After all, it has 306,000 miles on it. I'm hoping this will significantly delay the need for replacement as it doesn't have to work as hard. Oh, and he's really quiet. I had to tilt my head pretty close to hear if it worked. A big improvement over the old pumps I've heard about on YouTube videos.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Minor issues
