I bought these on a whim when I was looking for something different. For the price paid this wasn't a great investment so why not give it a try. 30 seconds to set (if you move slowly) and they look slimmer than the slightly more ergonomic original dials. And yes, it's not as easy to see what position they're in (compared to the originals), and maybe the notch on the dial doesn't glow as brightly as it could at night, but I have something else. more important things to think about than those little nits. In short, I like them and I think they're worth the few bucks they spend to make my 17-year-old Tacoma look even better. (The interior and exterior still look almost new.) If you're undecided, just buy them.
