Review on Light Up Your Path With SureFire Titan Ultra-Compact LED Keychain Light Series by Kevin Carr

Great flashlight but may not always come on when needed

I purchased the SureFire Titan Plus for EDC about 12 months ago and have formed some opinions from long term everyday use. I carry mine using the clip on the inside left pocket and use the flashlight about 10 times a day around the house, work, etc.Starting with the positives first:1) It is very bright for its size - it surprises folks when I use it in the dark2) It is strong - I think I could roll over it with my car with no problems. This makes it somewhat on the heavy side though (for its size). On the negative side:1) The light turns on by rotating the top portion until the light comes on. This means you pretty much have to use two hands to turn it on if any grease, water, oil, mud, etc is slightly involved. This on/off style can also cause it turn on in your pocket during the day and kill the battery through normal body movement.2) The worst issue is the light can turn on when *not rotated on*. So, the light is on and you rotate it and it goes off. Then maybe one more off rotation to ensure it doesn’t accidentally come one and it comes back on! More off rotation and it goes on when I touch the top. This causes the flashlight to turn on by itself in my pocket and drain the battery completely. Happens once a week and I consider it a some

Cons
  • The light emitted from the SureFire Titan Ultra-Compact LED Keychain Light Series is too dim and ineffective in illuminating a large area
