Review on Powertec 70175 Dust Collection Hose: Efficient Fittings, Two Reducers & Black Color by Adam French

Most of the equipment in my workshop uses 2-1/2" hose outlets, except for my hand tools like my Porter Cable Plunge Mill and my Dewalt Sander. Specifically, the sander comes with a cloth dust bag and Supplied with a twist lock adaptor.This hose set comes with a pair of adapters on the end of the hose and the larger of the two fits right over the dust outlet on my Dewalt sander, then I just slip a smaller hose adapter into another (see photo) The result isn't a tight fit but it stays in place especially when vacuuming.So I used the smaller of the two adapters on the end of the hose where it stays in place permanently.The hose is a bit stiff but that's a good thing , because my vacuum cleaner develops a strong suction power and would damage a weaker hose.The length of the hose is optimal for m a workshop and I even installed an upper arm to keep the hose off the work surface while sanding.
