Powertec 70175 Dust Collection Hose: Efficient Fittings, Two Reducers & Black Color Review

As per Amazon's description it is 1-1/4" x 10. It is beautifully packaged and supplied with a range of adapters and connectors. I found the plug that was supposed to fit my vacuum's 2 1/4" hole was too tight. I hit it with fine sandpaper and that helped. I bought this hose to connect my dust bag to smaller tools like Connect belt sander or hand sander.It does this job well.

Bought this hose/adapter kit to connect Festool Planex Easy to the dust gun/Ridgid Shop Vac combo. Planex is delivered without a vacuum hose. Using the two adapters that came with it, I was able to securely connect the Planex's vacuum port to the Dust Vice's port. About a dozen zip ties attached this hose to the Planex power cord. Works great with no vacuum leaks. Many euros saved compared to a Festool vacuum hose.

I got this to replace the dust collection hose I use on my Makita ROS as the hose has just worn out Page after rubbing on the edge of the bench all these years. Sorry I threw it away before looking at that Powertec hose. This hose is narrow, only about 1 inch in diameter. The hoses are tight or don't twist, so you're always dealing with a hose that's twisted into loops and needs to be untangled. and simply seal the wear and return the tube.

The smallest connector fits a 5" random orbit sander which is good. The other end needs to be modified to connect to a vacuum cleaner/dust collector as none of the adapters for 2-1/4 or 2-1/2 fittings will fit whatever the description says. The hose is quite long and appears to be of reasonable quality but the threaded lugs do not thread very tight and come off easily remove. Do any of these work? God invented duct tape for users in the dust collection industry. Shouldn't the "adapter" fit inside or outside of the part it's trying to fit? It seems that everyone is just leaning against each other or far from what is needed. I'm an amateur at this dust collecting game. I thought people had standard power tool fittings and whatnot, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Most of the equipment in my workshop uses 2-1/2" hose outlets, except for my hand tools like my Porter Cable Plunge Mill and my Dewalt Sander. This product is mostly excellent. However, I have an issue that prevents me from giving a fifth star. The connection between the size plastic adapter (solid part in the picture below) and the socket on the hose is not tight enough.
