Monitors Temperature: What we need

We live in a forest in the southern United States. When you combine the vagaries of the weather with falling trees (hard ground means tree roots don't always get a good grip), power outages are common. Thanks to the energy companies for doing their best, but we're just one house in a pretty remote area, so we usually stock up on ice and have a case of ice ready when we know a storm is coming. we know. I had food poisoning for a week from eating cottage cheese which I hate so I camouflaged it with peaches and had no idea the cottage cheese had gone bad due to a long power outage. Therefore thermometer with memory. I can recommend her unreservedly. If you don't have power, check how long. We already have such a thermometer in the fridge; What comes out of the freezer is what you eat when the power first goes out (ice cream, anyone?), especially in the summer. We've had this thermometer for two weeks and (contrary to other reviewers' experiences) so far, knock on wood, it's been consistently accurate. We ran it in the fridge just to make sure everything was fine and every time we checked the old and new thermometers matched the temperature and memory. So we put the new one in the freezer. It works well; Adapt to temperature extremes and record any changes (e.g. if I take it off to take a really bad photo). I'm really happy to do my part to prevent the so-called "quark incident" in my house.
