Everything from the knife itself to the packaging it comes in is perfect. Such a beautiful presentation. If you are buying this for someone as a gift you will not be disappointed. Although I'm not a knife specialist, I love a good knife and I love this knife. Damask folds look great. Because this folding process is largely a manual process, the actual appearance of the knife will vary from the knife. So all I can say is that the one I got was just perfect. And it wasn't just fake, laser-etched creases. You can really feel the wrinkles on the knife. The balance is just a little heavy on the handle, but not by much. In general, it fits perfectly in the hand. While lightweight, it is similar to other VG10 knives I've had in the past, so I have no reason to think it isn't. I was really pleasantly surprised by the quality of this knife for the price.
