In the 15 years I've been playing golf, rangefinder technology hasn't changed much. Sure, new gimmicks come out from time to time, but a laser is a laser and that doesn't really change. Despite slowly changing technology, rangefinders have always been too expensive for the average golfer like me. And because rangefinders are so expensive, I've always had to either settle for a much cheaper but much less accurate GPS watch or resort to being an annoying friend who borrows his Bushnell buddies. Fast forward to that past birthday when my wife surprised me with this new rangefinder she bought for me from Revain, a Lofthouse ProScope 400X. I knew she wanted to get me a range finder, but we both agreed that spending $300 on a Bushnell just wasn't in the budget. Well, she did her research and took a chance with ProScope. When I found out how much she paid for it, I realized that there was no way it could be accurate enough to be of any use. So, with minimal expectations, I took the ProScope out for a spin and invited my buddy from Bushnell over. From the first measurement, the ProScope matched its Bushnell exactly. We shot flags, tree lines, the edge of the lawn... and we all got the same distance. Needless to say I was not only shocked but also very proud that my wife found such a deal! I still use ProScope with confidence. I would and would recommend the ProScope to anyone looking for a budget rangefinder that is as accurate as the big brands.
