I wish they had introduced a really nice portable case to come with it too! I was really surprised with everything that was included and everything seems to be of very good quality including a stainless steel jeweler's screwdriver to calibrate the refractometer. The refractometer is a good weight and looks like a very solid product. I tested some washer fluid first just to make sure it worked, it worked! After adjusting the lens focus binocular style, I could see the reading very clearly. I used distilled water next to the 0 indicator for calibration and it was dead accurate right out of the box. I would recommend it for checking alcohol levels in water and spirits.
