Very simple design
Compared to others they are not as bulky as we would like. Obviously they had their downsides, but once you overcome some of them, things get a little easier. We found it easier to crimp the first one onto the cable, hold it whole, and cut the cable a little longer than necessary. Then we screw the first end 3/4 of the way. Then we tighten the screw with lag at the opposite end 1/2 of the way. Then we shortened the cable to the right length, crimped it and only tightened it after a few turns. If we didn't do it that way, the cable would twist and ruin the spade lugs as they can't be reused.
