I was looking for a timer loud enough to use in my bakery when waiters are heating food in the oven for customers. This is a very busy place, so the noise level often gets a bit higher. I tried at least ten different models but to no avail, all of them failed the loudness test. This one definitely does the job. In fact, it's so loud that I had to put a small piece of clay over the hole the beep is coming from to muffle it a bit. To be honest I've used at least 20 different timers of the same size over the years and this is by far the loudest. And I have to disagree with the buyer who complained about the size of the display. The display is quite large for the size of the timer and very easy to read. If he wants a bigger display, he needs to buy a bigger timer, maybe industrial/commercial.
