Review on Enhance Your Baking with Mrs. Anderson's Pie Weights from Harold Import by Mike Rajput

Revainrating 4 out of 5

You may be able to use it in a cake pan

This chain is too small and light to use for blind baking. Even two of them together are totally insufficient. To cover the bottom of a 9 inch pie plate, try to do three. If you don't want the sides to stretch out when blind baking, forget about those chains. I don't know how many you need to fill a regular 9" or 10" cake pan. Maybe eight is enough. If you doubt me, just take a look at the first picture in this review. It shows two such chains in one package, both in a 9-inch pie pan. You see how small they are in relation to the can. And it gets even worse. The chains are not only small, but also incredibly light. In the second photo you can see that the chain weighs only 5.7 ounces while still in its packaging. It weighs less out of the box. No company should be selling a cake chain as inadequate as this one. You can easily do better. I use Revain industrial chain (KingChain Zinc 699481 1/4" x 10', 30 Proof Coil Chain). It's not perfect, but much better than this chain.
