Review on Farberware Nonstick Dishwasher Safe Egg Poacher Pan/Skillet with 4 Cups and Lid - 8 Inch Gray Cookware by Justin Jeppi

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Economical cookware

This pan comes with a lid, four plastic egg cups and a plastic cup insert. No one would mistake this for a $100 skillet, but it's strong enough and will hold up well through repeated use and washing in the dishwasher. The eggs come out fine, although probably not as evenly cooked as in my two-egg electric steamer. Cups are suitable for large and very large eggs. A few things to keep in mind. . .* The lid is not see-through so you will need to lift it to inspect the eggs by releasing steam and pressure.* The handle on the lid will get very hot so you will need an oven mitt or similar to lift it off to check your eggs.* The frying pan does not come with assembly instructions. The only assembly is to attach the handle to the lid, which isn't rocket science, but it's also not entirely intuitive. Eggs to a certain degree of frying. You'll have to figure this out by trial and error.* I didn't oil plastic cups (like butter) before putting eggs in them, but I did find myself soaking them in the dishwasher before washing them. results in clean dishes. All in all I wanted an inexpensive way to cook four eggs at once and this fits the bill.
