Bad design - cookware

Non-stick pan, why bother. The cups are made of plastic, the egg won't come out. The whitewash stuck to the plastic. stupid construction. Non-stick pan that holds water. I've never seen water stick to a pan. The part that shouldn't stick is plastic. Lost half our ice cream. Stupid.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No performance

Don't lose the instructions!

I don't remember if the instructions were there. This was the third time since July. Catastrophe! I didn't know how much water to pour into the pan, it kept boiling away. Just put the butter on the bottom, not the sides, to help the eggs stick. I didn't know how long it would take so they were compared to hard boiled when they were done. I just never had that much trouble throwing eggs in a pot of boiling water with vinegar. Soft and fluid. And done in no time. Reading other reviews no one ever

Why plastic cups?: Eierpoacherer

Why no non-stick cups? First of all, I'm not a professional poacher, but I've been cooking eggs, frying and cooking, usually with bacon (Mmm Bacon), for almost 50 years. I used it once, the eggs stuck to the plastic cups to the point I had to mutilate the eggs to get them out. The egg white next to the surface of the cup was overcooked and gummy. While the yolk and the protein inside are still raw. I then had to scrape the egg whites out of the cups as best I could. I threw it in the dishwasher

This is a disappointing product

I did not use this stove straight away. I bought it for a vacation home. Unfortunately, my refund period has expired, but I wanted to share my concerns so that someone else can benefit from my experience. Farberware is a good name but they missed the mark with this product. Plastic egg cups stick like crazy. I tried spraying them and using oil to coat the surface. The egg stuck like glue. They're supposed to be dishwasher safe, but I wouldn't recommend that. The little tabs on the egg cups are…

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Don't buy this - it doesn't work at all. Pay a little more for a better product. Poaching takes 8 minutes as the holes in the metal bowl allow enough steam into the area with the lid. In boiling salted water with a little vinegar, it takes 2 minutes to boil an egg. But it releases enough steam to burn your fingers if you try to remove the eggshells (maybe not this way). Egg cups are non-stick: cheap plastic that eggs will stick to, even with a thick coating of olive oil. Also, the addition of…

An inexpensive skillet of poached eggs works great! Thumbs up!

I read a lot of negative reviews about this poached egg pan but found the comments unfounded and for $13 I hunted down a poacher early in the morning so I could make delicious egg dishes for lunch. However, the skillet was amazing and with a little oil spray my eggs are amazing. Remember I said it was a $13 poached egg pan and there are certainly stronger and better quality poached egg pans out there than this one. But using it for egg cooking variations a few times a week works great! My…

Economical cookware

This pan comes with a lid, four plastic egg cups and a plastic cup insert. No one would mistake this for a $100 skillet, but it's strong enough and will hold up well through repeated use and washing in the dishwasher. The eggs come out fine, although probably not as evenly cooked as in my two-egg electric steamer. Cups are suitable for large and very large eggs. A few things to keep in mind. . .* The lid is not see-through so you will need to lift it to inspect the eggs by releasing steam and…
