I bought 2 of these sets to hold the board game pieces well while playing. They are perfect for this purpose and really enhance the gaming experience. Very nice, perfect size for characters in most games. A bowl is very convenient to store board game components and prevent them from falling off the table, and they are small enough not to cause problems and take up too much space on the table. because a) they are too small for it and b) I don't know if the equipment will withstand repeated washing. Other reviews mention an unpleasant odor emanating from them. I've never experienced this with mine, but then again I don't know if it was an issue with the bowls themselves or the people using them to eat. the yarn bag they come in, otherwise they will fall off. This isn't a problem if you use them as they just sit on the shelf in my game closet, but I understand how annoying it can be if you use them for other purposes on a regular basis. nice bowls for displaying small items or for storing board game pieces, it's great. Highly recommended.
