Review on Denon DCM 27 Changer Discontinued Manufacturer by Jessica Ness

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good but better Made in Japan

I bought this as an upgrade to a similar unit I bought 17 years ago. This DCM-27 has features that the previous model did not have, most notably MP3 and WMA capabilities. Now made in China, the device has the look, feel and weight you would expect from electronics made there. In other words, fewer controls, lighter weight, easier touch. The five-disc carousel works well enough, but it feels cheap and I expect it won't last long. In fact, if previous experience with Chinese products is any indicator of durability, I don't expect this device to last just a few years. The device arrived quickly and in perfect condition with all the elements included.
