Review on Wireless Security Surveillance Weatherproof Aluminum by Jeff Shapiro

Got the camera, downloaded the apps - I have an Android phone and an iPad so I've tried apps from both sources. It's very easy to set up the camera with apps once it's connected via an Ethernet cable. I bought it to mount in the back of my garage and monitor my backyard, so it needed to be connected via Wi-Fi - my garage is separate and about 50 feet from my back door. Initially I had a lot of problems connecting to my WiFi hotspot at the back of the house. All online instructions seem to suggest doing this with apps. When I was informed that WLAN can also be set up via the web interface, my luck changed. I got the camera's IP address from the app and connected to the camera in Firefox on my Mac. Once there (using "admin"/"admin" as username/password) I was able to enter my WiFi connection information and PRESTO connected. Since then it has been stable and works great. I installed it in my garage over the weekend and now I can keep an eye on my garden from the app. Today we had a very strong storm and the power went out. When power was restored, the camera reconnected to WiFi and was back online. I wish the lens was a bit wider but for the price of a camera it gives me what I want.
