Look no further for those with OFFROAD (and/or OCD) vehicles!

IF YOU HAVE AN TERRAIN (AND/OR OCD :-) THIS IS THE ESSENTIAL BRACKET YOU NEED. I have a '98 Wrangler with mud tires and how expected the ride is not very smooth (heavy vibrations) I've tried probably 10 different mounts at different prices including a Rugged Ridge dash mount designed specifically for the Wrangler They all had one or more of the following issues :- Strong Vibrations that are distracting, make reading difficult and cause the phone to actually fall - Adhesive suction cups slide down the windshield as they heat up in the sun - "Click" positions that can reduce vibrations - in Compared to ball joints but prevents proper viewing angle (yes I have OCD) Eventually I bought a ram mount and was blown away Here's why: 1. It's all metal construction. Sturdy, heavy, high-quality materials. No cheap plastic waste. 2. This is a non-stick suction cup that stays in place with a lever. And I mean STAY IN PLACE. It will knock the glass out of the windshield before it detaches.3. It has ball joints for positioning on BOTH ends of the arm where it connects to the windshield and where it connects to the mount. You can position your device EXACTLY where you want it.4. It features the innovative X-Kickstand, which allows you to easily get your phone in and out (even the big iPhone 7 Plus) thanks to the spring-loaded handles on the sides. However, if you're concerned it won't latch on to boulders, you can add a rubber strap to the back that stretches over the corners of the phone, ensuring it won't fall off anyway. Most importantly, you can tighten the ball joints on the metal arms enough that they barely vibrate even when driving over rough roads in a rough car (like mine). Arrow. Did. And it's also made in the USA. The only "minus" is that it's a bit more expensive than cheap plastic shit holders. You get what you pay for and the quality of this holder is worth the extra money. Rock on Ram!

Pros
  • 1" B-size rubber ball
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
