When I bought my 1994 Ford F250 diesel pickup, it already had a heater block installed. But when I plugged it in, it blew the switch in the house. I bought this replacement and just installed the heating element myself and it fixed the problem. In the very cold weeks we've had lately it kept the block warm enough to start right after a glow plug cycle and the breaker wouldn't trip again. Since I only used the heating element, I now have a spare cord as well. I would say that the device I received was a quality purchase.
