Not your regular mouthwash
I have enough back pain that sometimes I get up slowly. I used about 1/4 cup per wet washcloth, plastic bag, and heating pad. It has worked very well to relieve stiffness and muscle pain. A word of warning: if the plastic bag has any kind of seal, you must turn it inside out or the seal will rub off on your skin or washcloth. As a mouthwash it is very pleasant. It has a medicinal taste but is not as strong as Listerene.
