Review on Dorman 77096 Driver Replacement Exterior by Quartreal Eagleman

I saw reviews that the lock does not hold. It is, but it's *really* a tight fit. When I pushed it in as far as possible, it fell out. I squeezed it with my vise and it stayed in place. Basically, challenge it until it clicks, and then some more until you see a tiny gap behind the latch. I would prefer if the body was metal. I'm not sure, but maybe I pulled out one of the threaded inserts. The handle holds, but I couldn't tighten the screw. If it expands I will most likely seal it with epoxy. Or use the case for converting to metal. I would redo my old one but it was bent and missing a few parts. While I'm not concerned about the strength of the case, it seems more than strong enough for the job. Physically it *looks* like the original, but the original is cast in zinc. The only way to say it was replaced is that it's a new part from a 21 year old truck.
