I'm allergic to yarn coating

I'm allergic to anything with yarn coating. After several hours of knitting, my hands were damp for several days. I had to figure out how to wash the ball of yarn before I could knit from it. To be honest I have weird allergies and that's why I have to wash new clothes before I put them on (most people won't have this reaction but the coating on new clothes can't be healthy and that's why some things say "wash before how to wear it). What annoys me is that the yarn doesn't need to be washed before use (it will knot and unravel) and there is no warning on the label. Yarn should be prewashed, when it's covered in something special. Regardless, I love homespun yarn so I'm not giving it too bad a review. Most of the shades are an interesting color combination. I love working with this bulky yarn. It's not that easy, working with home-spun material - it is somewhat loosely woven, it is easy to catch needles in it and ruffle the strands, it can also be a bit difficult to tell the difference between link s and right (especially if you are a beginner or have vision problems) due to the twisting of the yarn.

Pros
  • Made in the USA or Imported
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
