Two stars and desire

I love the personality and character of this yarn. It is unique in its subtle waves and is soft enough to be snug when wrapped around the shoulders. The only bummer is the color. I had a batch of these many years ago (don't know how many) and there was a LOT more blue in them. This batch appears to be a dull, muted lilac gray and the blue is much better. I've ordered it several times for different projects and also as an experiment to see if I received a different batch of dye, but they seem to

Unique yarn that adds texture

It takes a little getting used to because there is an inner thread that tends to go beyond the yarn edge. Once you realize the need for careful work, the end results will be amazing and unique! I find this yarn best for the more experienced rather than the beginner. This yarn makes wonderful scarves, shawls and blankets! Colors tend to be more intense than most yarns. So if you are looking for color, this yarn is your ticket! It also makes a very pretty fringe because when the strands part it…

BEAUTIFUL COLOR, SLIGHTLY DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH

I have just started my project with this yarn. I knit on the machine, not with knitting needles. The yarn is a bit tricky to work with, it separates and knots and the ends fray a lot. I love the color, reminds me of my Goldie Locks hair. I hope the project doesn't look worn when I'm done. UPDATE: This is the worst yarn you can buy. I would like to give less than one star. It's balled up, frayed, separated and given me nothing but problems. The last few stitches, even when knitting with no…

I'm allergic to yarn coating

I'm allergic to anything with yarn coating. After several hours of knitting, my hands were damp for several days. I had to figure out how to wash the ball of yarn before I could knit from it. To be honest I have weird allergies and that's why I have to wash new clothes before I put them on (most people won't have this reaction but the coating on new clothes can't be healthy and that's why some things say "wash before how to wear it). What annoys me is that the yarn doesn't need to be washed…

Nice! in Knitting and Crocheting

Love this Homespun Yarn! It's so soft and beautiful, especially in a simple delicate stitch pattern. I use Pearl to make a baby blanket for those who like neutral colors and it's perfect especially for a girl. The yarn has a subtle sheen, like a pearl, that is just beautiful when the light hits it. However, I would use these as an outdoor blanket, so not as a reception or crib blanket (unless the baby is in pajamas) but more as a stroller/car blanket where the blanket doesn't directly touch the

The only yarn I use

Homespun yarn is the only yarn I buy anymore. Here's why I love it. Pros: 1. Interesting texture, thick and super soft2. I'm obsessed with flowers. I just can not get enough. They have 3 different types of colors; painterly, mottled and multicolored tweed. My favorite are painterly colors (like a painted desert) that gradually change and look absolutely gorgeous! Personally, I don't like complicated patterns. Because of the texture and changing colors, I can make something very simple and still
