Ideal for snowshoeing

I bought these for snowshoeing. They are excellent for this purpose. They are great for sitting on snow, logs, rocks, etc. while walking. Because they are waterproof and insulated, they can be taken with you when you go snowshoeing. Pros: 1. They are waterproof so you can stay dry in the snow. Much better than sitting on the seat of your pants.2. The insulation ensures that you get warm under your seat. Adding this layer underneath keeps your seat warm.3. They're so light you won't even realize you're wearing them. Whether in your backpack or strapped outside, the weight is so negligible.4. This makes sitting on a log or rock much more comfortable. Cons: 1. It doesn't fold up as small as an inflatable seat cushion, but it's much easier to just take out and put down. It can be easily attached to the outside of the backpack. It takes up a little more space but is so light you won't notice.2. You have to mount it on something, it's just a cushion not a chair. If you want to bring a chair that won't sink in the snow, then bring it (which I do when hiking in the summer), but I figured when snowshoeing I don't usually want to stop. long, because then you catch a cold. So this pillow works perfectly.3. I've only used it 3 times and haven't had any durability issues, but I can see how it can shine through in the right conditions. Keep in mind that this is basically an enclosed cage area.
