Review on πŸ“Ί Enhance Your Viewing Experience with the Sanus MLF13-B1 Universal Wall Mount – Perfect for 37-80-Inch Screens in Black by Flavio Scarola

A little fiddly to install, but so far it's working well - I recommend it.

A few days ago I installed my new 75 inch Samsung TV on a Sanus MLF13-B1 mount. The mount fits my wall perfectly (thin boards over drywall) since my wall studs are 16" apart and the center of the wall (where I wanted the TV to be centered) was just a few inches from the midpoint between two studs of the wall. So far, this works Mounting bracket good. I made a mistake during installation that cost me extra time. I installed the brackets on the back of the TV using the plastic spacers that came with Sanus before realizing that Samsung supplies their own special spacers with the TV, luckily I found that out before I mounted the TV to the wall (which required two people due to the weight of the TV - about 90lbs with mount installed - and was therefore a bit intimidating) and replaced the gaskets which I pulled off One star from my review due to multiple issues with the Sanus mount kit : 1) The Sanus kit does not include the screws needed for my Samsung TV. My TV requires 8mm x 1.25 x 45mm screws. The longest screws in the Sanus kit were 8mm x 1.25mm x 35mm. This led to an extra trip to the hardware store - actually two stores as 8mm x 1.25 x 45mm doesn't seem to be a very common screw size. 2) The flexible connections on the sanus mount (as received) were unevenly stiff. One joint was quite loose and moved easily. The rest was much tighter. I had to slightly adjust the tension of the thru-bolts in the joints to loosen them. Also, I learned something else during the installation. If you need to center the TV mount (which is possible because the hinge part slides over the wall part), be sure to do this before hanging the TV. If you try to center the TV after hanging it, the weight of the TV makes it almost impossible for the mount to slip. The bracket also has a height adjustment that can be made after hanging the TV. (This is very helpful, but note that it's best to have someone help you hold the TV level while you tighten the screw that holds it in place.)
