On a whim I was looking for a "cheap cone digester" out of boredom. I've brewed in the past but absolutely hated the "pipe" or "yeast cake" at the bottom of the brew bucket. Transferring from bucket to bucket is an unbelievable ordeal, and you always soak up a little of that abomination with your wondrous brew. I hated the process of brewing in a bucket and stopped brewing until I found this beauty. First let me say that most of these one and two star reviews are picky and should not be trusted. Most problems encountered by others can be avoided with common sense. Oh! Fluid in my lock leaked into my drink when I opened the bottom ball valve. No S*+%! Even a basic understanding of kindergarten-level physics should tell you not to do this. Oh! I put an airlock seal in my potion! So what's the company's fault you rushed and didn't at least get the pad wet? Oh! I overtightened the top of the unit and it snapped! If you do, please stop brewing. One day you will poison yourself or your friends. If you decide to buy this device, read the instructions, use Teflon tape, and match CIP lube to all your connections. There are clearances around all threads that need to be cut. It's not that hard unless you're already drunk. Wrap up all your filament and use some food safe lube and you will love this device! A note on disinfection. When you use a spaceship, we all know that it bubbles heavily. If you want to avoid a headache, disinfect this item in your tub, being careful not to create bubbles. Otherwise, you will flush or just wait a day for the blisters to empty. Alternatively, you can buy a booth or build your own. At the moment I only have a wall mount and it was quite difficult to get the sediment into the fermentor. Hope that helps!
