Review on PEPPER JOBS Portable Touchscreen Monitor with HDMI Compatibility by Alan Drury

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great monitor for travel and accessories. I love the smart USB-C, HDMI and OTG ports.

This is a great travel and accessory monitor with a great combination of features. I also like that it's a touchscreen. It is now connected to my Mac Book Pro as a third external monitor and works great with it. It was powered by a Mac and, as they note, runs a little brighter on external power. As they point out, given sufficient external power, the MAC can be powered and charged through the monitor. My main use is not work but my Linux desktop, Raspberry PI and IOT. This is the main monitor for this bank - and this is particularly important to me as it can be difficult to run the Pi and IOT without a monitor. So that's a key factor for me to be able to work on let's say downstairs (semi-public with family) and also to travel when I'm stuck without being able to work on most projects. Linux/Raspberry Pi/IOT also benefit greatly from an HDMI input and an IOT connector, as HDMI is the classic video output or they (and many laptops too). So HDMI input for video and OTG gets touch input as mouse for RPI/Laptop etc. Pros: Nice solid case with multiple corner stops built in. Pros: Touchscreen - hard to find at this price! Pros: USB-C power delivery, passthrough, video, touch (non-MAC), etc Pros: Alternate HDMI and OTG in, USB hub, touch out Pros: nice and bright Sound is quite acceptable and comparable to monitors in this price range. Something is missing in the bass. Relatively loud. Maybe some fat? But not too much. Adds rigidity. About the same thickness, including a very nice body, as my closed MacBook Pro.
