Review on PEPPER JOBS Portable Touchscreen Monitor with HDMI Compatibility by George Rivera

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The picture is great, but otherwise everything is ok

Overall Pros: The device has an excellent display, even with support for HDR content. Colors are very vibrant, but there are settings if you prefer a more natural look. It's also very bright for its size. External device support was pretty good. When I connected my Galaxy S20 Ultra via USB-C, it immediately recognized DeX compatibility and the touch functions worked perfectly. When connected to my Nintendo Switch via USB-C, it went into dock mode with no issues, although it appeared to be running at 30fps despite reporting 60Hz mode. The range of cables supplied should be suitable for every need. It comes with a 10Gbps USB-C cable, a Power Delivery charger, an HDMI to mini to HDMI cable, and an HDMI to mini to HDMI adapter if you Want to use your own cable (as for Chromecast, which worked great, even in HDR mode). ) General cons: The speakers are, to be honest, very weak. For something that claims to have four speakers, it's not very loud, and the audio is very tight, barely reaching for dialogue. My phone's speakers were twice as loud and sounded fuller than this thing's speakers. It really should have a 3.5mm headphone jack. Battery life was decent, but for something over 10,000mA it had to die after just a few hours of maximum brightness and charging an external device. Definitely a must have external power supply if you use it for a long time. The touchscreen feels a bit soft and it takes some pressure on the screen to register touches. It looks a bit odd compared to a tablet or phone with a tempered glass screen. Once you get over that, the touch function becomes responsive and accurate. Summary: Overall, this is a stunning ad. Supports almost anything you can connect and displays it with a clear, bright, and vibrant display. Battery life is enough to watch a movie or play a game on the go, but if you want to run it at maximum brightness or use HDR, it's best to leave it plugged into a power source. The audio is pretty poor and there doesn't seem to be an option to connect external speakers or headphones. Hopefully your source device has separate audio outputs if you want full sound. As a secondary display for a laptop, it's excellent and touch functions seem to work great, although the screen feels a bit soft and needs some pressure to register touches (compared to my Galaxy S20 Ultra). That's enough for a portable gaming experience, but you'll need to find another way to play audio, e.g. B. Gaming headphones connected directly to the console.
